How it Works
Buying and Selling
Appointment required to sell. Book yours here.
Bring in your clean, name-brand, nearly new items in a shopping bag during regular store hours (buying stops an hour before close). No hangers or large trash bags please. We are accepting buys by appointment only. To make an appointment, click here.
Sign in at the buying counter and feel free to shop while you wait. We do not accept drop-offs.
A Ditto buyer will look through and carefully examine your items.
If items are acceptable (based on brand, style, condition and store necessity), the buyer will extend an offer.
If you accept our offer, you will complete a brief Seller's Agreement form and will have cash in your hands!
Buying Seasonally
Ditto only buys things we consider to be in-season. When looking through your items, our buyers are looking for specific fabrics, colors, and styles. However, we buy jeans, hoodies and tees year-round.

Frequently Asked Questions
Ditto is a smart way to sell your gently used clothing. We buy everyday and give an offer on the spot. We buy by appointment. To book yours, click here. For more details on selling, see below.
Is Ditto a consignment shop?
Ditto is a resale store, which means we pay for items we can take on the spot as opposed to when they sell. We do not buy furniture, household items, or anything other than clothing, shoes, handbags, and accessories.
When do I get the money?
Unlike at a consignment store, there is no waiting to be paid at Ditto. When you bring your clothing in, our buyers look through it and give an offer for cash on the spot.
How does the buying process work?
We buy clothing every day from open until an hour before close (by appointment only). The seller (you) will bring in your items folded (off the hangers) in a bag, basket or box (no large trash bags, large cardboard boxes or suitcases please). The buyer will sort through the items, accepting what we are looking to carry in the store/do not have excess of, and give you an offer based on retail prices, necessity, and sales we have going on in the store. If the seller accepts our offer, they are paid cash (or check) on the spot.

How do I earn cash for my clothes?
Bring your gently used clothing to any Ditto location, and you will receive cash on the spot for the items that we choose to buy. We pay you 25-40% of the price we will sell the item for in the store, which is typically 1/2 to 1/3 retail price.
For example, Nike track shorts retail for $24, Ditto resells them for $8, and the seller receives $2.
What do you sell?
Ditto sells fashionable, high-quality women's, men's, maternity and plus-size clothing. We select only merchandise that we think our customers want to buy and have sold in the past. This means that the items should be:
• Current (purchased within the last 18 months), fashionable and in-season
• Clean and without spots, holes or odors
• In good condition, with zippers that work and no missing buttons
Do you buy kids clothing?
We do not buy kids or babies clothing. We sell some preteen clothing but are in the process of phasing it out of our stores, so we are not looking to buy any more.
Are there restrictions on becoming a seller?
To sell us clothing, you must be at least 18 (or accompanied by an adult) and present a valid photo ID (driver’s license, passport, state or US military ID).
What types of clothing do you take?
We buy womens, mens, plus size, and maternity items. We take more casual items including:
Tops: short and long sleeve tees, tanks, dresses, hoodies, dressy/trendy jackets, athletic wear, swimwear and coats.
Bottoms: jeans, pants, skirts, loungewear, swim, and shorts
Shoes: athletic, casual, heels, sandals and boots
Accessories: trendy/designer handbags, belts, hats, scarves, and sunglasses
Do you buy for all seasons year-round?
We only buy items that are in-season. When deciding what is "in-season," we take into consideration fabric, color and style. Fall/winter buying begins around late July and spring/summer begins around late January, depending on our current inventory. Call in advance if you would like to confirm what season we are currently accepting. We buy tees and jeans year round.
What brands do you take?
We look for specifically name-brand or designer items. We do not accept items from discount retailers like Gordman's, Old Navy, or Kohl's. For examples of what we consider to be name brands, click here.
Do you buy formal wear?
We do not buy formalwear (suits, suit separates, sport coats, or cocktail, bridesmaids or wedding dresses).
